Rules and Strategy for our beloved game
Fighting a Lizzard-Colonies-Alliance I have encountered something else I don't understand at all. Inbetween successive fights I lost a Deathstar for some big ships (another big bang, guess everyone in the game noticed :-P). What I don't understand is that the last Atlantia which destroyed my deathstar was down to zero shields and 35% damage after the fight. But I had a smaller convoy ship there as well, so a last fight followed. In that fight the very same Atlantia was back to 1% shields and zero damage, and that I don't understand.
I've a guess though, but since that's concerning PCC stuff, I'ld rather wait if there is an ingame effect I don't know yet. ;-)
Addition
At the very same battle I end the second fight with 108 fighters and start the next one with 91. (O.O)
Okay, after your PM it seems this is something about my PCC. I'ld like to discuss that here, not via PM, and in german if that's okay. I think here is better than using PMs since accessing old PMs for reference is kinda painful. Maybe this thread is better off under "Bugs" then.
I'll try a last time to download and putting the original playerfiles into a clean directory tomorrow. And however that works out I'll write some ideas afterwards.
(Since it was publicly asked, here's my statement:)
My general tip in situations like these is to check that the correct player files are used. Player files contain configuration parameters that are required to correctly interpret combat. Without these, the VCR will come to a different conclusion than the host.
Thus, the first thing to try is to unpack the playerfiles into a fresh directory, place your RST on top, an look whether that works. If it does, start copying over files from your actual player folder until it stops working.
And if the RST in a fresh folder does not work, it's something else which I'm too un-creative to imagine right now.

sorry, right now I've got no time for serious troubelshooting. :-(
However, do you know where I can download VPA for comparison?

Just google and http://vpa.sourceforge.net/

VPA requires PVCR http://phost.de/distro/pvcr40k2.zip. If you got that, you can also invoke it standalone.
Both VPA and PVCR are DOS programs with the usual 64-bit disclaimer.

Thx, I prefer the link.

usual 64-bit disclaimer? I'ld run that in dosbox. Is there something I should know?

That's precisely what the 64-bit disclaimer says: does not run on 64 bit operating systems; use DOSBOX.
