The planet page consists of two parts. To modify a value, press the key listed next to it, or click the button. You can also click/touch somewhere in the section to get a menu of editable items.

Some actions are also on the ship's menu on the unit list.

Planet section

  • o: Edit planet owner;
  • n: Edit planet name. Select from all planet names in the current game. This is just a fancy way to set the planet Id. For the standalone simulator, the planet names have been generated and do not correspond to a real starchart;
  • i: Edit planet Id;
  • f: Edit planet friendly code. Most important for planets are the special friendly codes ATT and NUK that specify the planet's aggressiveness. In PHost simulations, the friendly code also determines battle order;
  • d: Edit number of planetary defense posts;
  • p: Edit planetary population. The simulator will then set the defense post count to the maximum allowed by that population. This is a good guess how much will await you on an enemy planet. Note that it's still possible for a planet to have more defense posts if the owner has removed some population after building the defense;
  • a: Edit planet abilities;
  • l: Edit planet's experience level;

Starbase section

The Beam tech level setting determines whether the planet has a starbase. Most options are only available when that setting has a nonzero value.

  • b: Edit beam tech level;
  • g: Edit number of starbase fighters;
  • s: Edit number of starbase defense posts;
  • t: Edit torpedo tech level. This is only relevant for PHost games with the PlanetsHaveTubes option;
  • w: Edit number of torpedoes in starbase storage. This is only relevant for PHost games with the PlanetsHaveTubes option. You can enter values for all 10 torpedo types. For display, these will be converted to the configured torpedo type using PHost's regular formula (this might or might not be the same type as later used for the fight).

Menu

These operations are on the planet's menu in the ship list.

  • Del: Delete this planet.

The planet always appears on the last position in the list and cannot be moved up or down. A fight can include only one planet, so it cannot be copied.
