In many cases, properties of a single object are scattered through many places. This table attempts to aid you in finding what you need. Most important properties and files are listed, some unimportant or obsolete ones have been left out.
Much information is transported in messages. In general, when you're looking for the status of an object, you'll find it in some data file (and thus in this table). When you're looking for a report about some action (like "minefield laid" or "planet conquered"), you should look for messages or UTILx.DAT entries.
