Forum for Titan 17 (#64)
Hi,
ok guys, that was not planned. It seems the host manager didn't like the idea of setting the game back to "joining", and thought running host was a better idea.
Anyway, I removed the Rebel player after they didn't submit their turn in Titan 16 nor confirm their email. Schedule is "stopped", so game resumes on command. I hope at least THAT works
If dedram wants to play: join again and submit your turn. (And confirm your email.)
I will investigate later.

Thanks Stefan!!!

OK, what happened? As usual, the software worked perfectly and did what it was told. Which happens to not always be what I want.
I set the game to "joining". Host noticed: oh, a joining game with 11 players, I better start that, and moved it to "running" again. And because starting a game means respawning a new one, we now have two open Titans. OK, why not...
Several admin interventions have a blockage time ("if admin changed something, don't run do anything automatic for X minutes"). For a state change, no such protection exists.

LOL ... This is what we call AI.
By my own experience I know what you are feeling. Don't bother with debugging. I think the more burning question we all in Titan 17 have is: When will it be re-launched? As it's now NOT shown up in 'Active games waiting for players" nobody will join, right?
Shall we go without Rebels?
Cheers, Jo
Shall we go without Rebels?
Let's go on, ... 'em all! If anyone replaces Rebel then welcome, if not - no problem.
Shall we go without Rebels?
Although I'd prefer all player slots to be taken I'm afraid that we won't find a new Rebel commander within short.
On the other hand if dedram had not joined we'd still be waiting for that slot to be filled so we actually don't suffer any loss if we hold on until a replacement takes over.
So if this is a voting: Let's wait and see
Cheers,
Mike

Having early-game replacements show up on the "join game" page sounds like a good idea; I'll give it a shot when I'm done with the awesome feature I'm currently working on...
