Hi,

I don't know if this is a bug on the battle simulator or if I misunderstood how this works on PList 3.2.

My understanding is that Kill-O-Zaps and Disruptors ignore shields and kill crew directly, but simulating a battle between a ship with Kill-O-Zaps (only beams) against another ship, I see that the Kill-O-Zaps shots do lower the shields (very little, of course) and don't do any damage to the crew.

Is this a flaw on the battle simulator or it is not true that Kill-O-Zaps ignore shields?

(I just realized this only happens if the ship with the Kill-O-Zaps belongs to the Privateers. I also noticed that if one ship has Kill-O-Zaps and the other has Disruptors, they don't even fight. I get a message "Stalemate" and that's it, Is this right?)

Any light on this will be most welcome. Thanks!

Hi,

I can confirm that the web simulator doesn't seem to be correct here, sorry. I'll look into it.

The desktop version works correct.

Thanks very much Stefan.

I'll see if I can install the desktop version.

Cheers!

Hi,

the version on the staging area should now fix both issues:

https://planetscentral.com/test/play/sim.cgi

It will be moved to the main site (without /test/) in a few days.
