Everything: VGAP, RL, or otherwise
Hi,
I was upgrading my kernel to a recent 3.15 version and am now unable to run dosemu with DPMI support - no vpa ; at the startup of dosemu I get this message:
ERROR: DPMI initialization failed, disabling
If I boot the system with a 3.14 kernel all is good. I compiled the 3.15 with the .config of the 3.14 kernel after doing a make oldconfig.
Has anyone else run into this problem?
Cheers, Sirko

64-bit kernel perhaps? Maybe it's related to this discussion: http://lkml.org/lkml/2014/4/11/542 (I haven't read it in full, but they talk about breaking 16-bit apps).
If your processor is fast enough to run in 64 bits, it's also fast enough to run DOSBOX, and that one should do DPMI just fine.

Right on the money. DOSBOX does the trick just fine.
