On the downside I messed something up and now the pictures are not working anymore. I remember that it was somehow tricky. Anyway I just downloaded the file for extra pictures and did what the doc told me. It just ain't work :(
The pictures are configured in either "C:\Programs\PCC2\resource\cc-res.cfg" or "C:\Users\<your user>\AppData\PCC2\cc-res.cfg" (replace "Programs", "Users", "AppData" with localized names if appropriate).
If you have a 64-bit version of Windows, make sure you are not bitten by its file system redirection: what you see as "C:\Programs (x86)", PCC2 sees as "C:\Programs".
Ahhh. Now it comes back. If I remember correctly, I have to create this "cc-res.cfg" and write one or two lines inside which tell the location of the cc256.res?
Well that's pretty much what I remeber. Sadly that's not enough to try my luck so you'll have to help me out here again. I did not find a cc-res.cfg in my pcc directory nor in the directory for application data.
You have to create it at either location I stated. That's the whole point. You make it, so an update does not mess with it.
If you have a *.res file, all you have to do is to make a single line containing the full path+filename for it.
Interestingly, this information seems to be missing from the documentation files installed with it. It's only in the source code.
