The only reason that I can imagine how you could get into that situation is by having 0 bytes free on your hard disk or a failing hard disk, so you might look into that. PCC2 does not handle out-of-disk situations very gracefully and might crash in this situation.[/Edit]

That's at least plausible. I tried to copie stuff from a damaged flash drive and the explorer(!) crashed during the process. Couldn't end the process (not only the task) and tried to log out as a final step befor a shut down.
But that didn't help so I had to shut down the hard way (basicly turning off energy) during the unfinished logout.
What I don't really understand is how that affects PCC in any way. Because I'm pretty sure PCC wasn't running anymore and the process (copy paste from flash) itself was in no way related to any PCC stuff.
Anyway I'll return on sunday and will try then.
