It's hard to find a lot of the old utilities. If you have any of the following, or know where or how to find them online, please let me know.

Cplayers: Stormlord? Admiral The Q

Utils: MakeMap The Killing Floor

Back in the day I had everything I could find. But that was at least 6 computers ago. I had backed up a lot of my older games on a CD, but that has been lost over time (and my wife cleaning up a lot).

So, I'd like to get my hands specifically on these (at least one of the Cplayers, but the more the merrier). And if you have any other utilities you like, let me know. I don't remember all the stuff I used to use. I'm just trying to set up a few games for myself to get reacquainted with the game and I like unique maps and a good cplayer to play against. Later, I'll retry TKF if I can get it.

Thanks to all!!

I got a few hundred megabytes of VGAP stuff in my archive. Just didn't yet get around building a publicly-accessible archive from that.

I have uploaded those you mentioned to a temporary directory:

Temporary means, I don't know how long they will remain there. Probably until the next server migration  But until then, archive.org should have picked them up... archive.org's Wayback Machine would have been my first place to look for old stuff. However, it seems most old stuff was on FTP servers, and archive.org only indexes HTTP. If anyone has an old server that was available on HTTP (and is accessible on archive.org), I'm interested.

I just grabbed a shovel and a lantern and went deep into the abyss of my data storages, there I found some stuff which I am keeping since decades, so I'll just throw it in here. Warning: The files might be incomplete or corrupted, but anyways.

So what I could find is: - Dan and Daves Pack (.exe files [and others] from 2000: Asteroid, Jumpgate, Starbase, Tachyon, Raceplus) - Lurkers Stormfront [including key file, I think I bought that one long time ago) - Machines of Yore (v 1.41 released in 1996...)

surely Stefan has most or even all of them, but if there's something I can do then let me know.

Thanks snouka, I appreciate the reply. I think SB+ would be the only thing I would be interested in... but I'm basically trying to play some games to get reacquainted with the game... so all the extras aren't really necessary. I just needed Cplayers to play against and I want a random map to make placement more fair so I don't have to keep restarting when I have a HW that's got 2 planets within 2 jumps...

The Killing Floor is just something I'll want to play with later when I am better prepared

I remember a utility, but I not remember the name. The utility allowed to automate the construction of mines, defenses, factories on planets. Anyone remember the name? Thank you

Maybe you are remembering RANDMAX.

The PCCs also have an autobuild feature. In addition, you can make scripts or auto-tasks to implement all strategies you like. One that I occasionally use is AutoOutpostBuild from the "auto" plugin.

I'm currently trying to recover my old registration keys (I asked Tim if he can recover them) the CD where I saved them has been lost (I also registered TKF, but I see that Phost has FLAK). If I can recover them I'd like to try again with this game with which I spent a good part of my youth. Thanks for the info.

If you want to play on this site, there is good news. Did not try it myself.

This is a testing version.
It may be incomplete, and have more bugs (or features) than the public live version at planetscentral.com.
