Is there really such demand for old-style TimHost-emulating games (PHost features disabled, old shiplist, etc)? Personally I find the old-style games frustrating when the various PHost missions aren't available, and less interesting with the old shiplist. Am I alone in this?

I'm signed up for every available game on the server because I can't get enough VGAP, but personally I would prefer more true PHost games, as in Pleiades or North Star. How are game configurations decided when a new game is created?

I even got requests for true TimHost games (i.e. using actual HOST.EXE). This is technically not easy, I haven't given up on it yet, but it'll take time...

How are game configurations decided when a new game is created?

That one's easy to answer: whenever one game of a type starts, a new one is spawned for joining. I could have multiple games open at a time, but given that games often take months to fill I don't think that'll be a good idea.

When a player joins a game, could you spawn a new player so we have a larger userbase? :smile:
