They asked to be removed from the game (and I only know that because they didn't find the "resign" button :-)

I didn't announce it to give them the chance to explain themselves first and to bang the drum for acquiring a new emperor.

Partially yes but playing without borg is like handing victory to you on a silver platter. Better to end right now. With the Borg still active game can continue and the outcome is not written in stone.

I read a very subtle preference for NOT continuing without a Borg, so I stopped the host for one turn.

I can assure you that the Borg's replacement will change nothing. Simply because he has all his neighbours alive.

If it comes to vote. I am against waiting for Borg and for ending this game as soon as possible. It is better to start another game.

Yes, it's the settings. If everybody fights everybody without alliances and cooperation, the borg will be lost. If he is in a similar situation like I am in NS3, then I can almost understand him (old borg player).

So for me it's just survival here - dealing with a 3 borders frontier is frustrating and resources eating.

So I would not mind stopping - on the other hand - the planets are developed, some (good) ships are built. Most enemies are clear - but I think we almost have little resources. Aren't there some meteor showers somewhere?

When Orion is saying such a thing it sounds like blasphemy. Your statement is so absurdal I'm not going to polemize.

From my perspective we can either end right now or wait for Borg replacement to be found. It's fully developed race with high score - the chance someone will be interested to take over is high.

If we continue with inactive Borg I'm out as well cause game will be already decided.
