Forum for Pleiades 9 (#24)
I submit the last turn in this match.
Seeing the complete Fed playing with the much cheaper Klingon shiplist and over 40 webmines on the one side
and
the cyborg after having defeated the Lizard, also defended by webs on the other side
and thre races (Liz, Rebel and Privateer) not playing
I finally see no sense to continue this sharade. Just another terribly fucked up big alliance match. I hope our "easter-european progamer-league feels lucky with their ruinous steamrolling teamplay.
Bye bye, Pleiades 9.
Having learned from previous games (Pleades7), in subsequent games, I began to seek allies with the first moves. What's bad about it? Enclose counter-alliances! (Google Translate)

Yeah the Fed is this game is like many races in one. He has web mines, all the cloaking ships of the Klingon, of course all his habilities like fed... It's just wonderful
When I was old I want to be like the Fed

It begins to tire.
So much complaining, so much discontent instead of just playing the game by the rules. Try to play as best as possible. What is the point in the complaints? Someone broke the rules? No. It is a fact. We only use what the game gives us. Honestly. You have the same head and the same language. Think and communicate. Create alliances, coordinates, learn to play. What is the point in the complaints?
don't understand.
From this, you will not get better to play and your lose no turn into victory. So what's the point to complain?
Don't understand.
Once Erica Jong, American writer, said it well about the complaints and about the responsibility: "Take your life into your own hands and what happens? A nightmare: no one to complain to."
If I broke the rules - bring proof if not, then your complaints just show your weakness.

Yes, you don't understand. Obviously.... You better start to reflect your own unsportsmanshipness instead of pointing to those "rules"...
At some certain point there will be no players left, how will play with you. What you don't understand is, the the mistake lies in yourself not in the others.
- support the unexperienced - don't ally with all veterans - challenge the top-scorers
Those are the unwritten rules of sportsmanship.
That is, why I did not yet ally with Ygg, Kobrov, Darklow or Siba. We all play over 20-25 years and met on other servers before. They are no noobs and allying with them is nearly like playing chess with only Queens and Knights - it is ridiculous and kills the fun for the rest.
I hope you enjoy the outcome of your commitment.
Hi,
I belive the problem is the game setup. We should in future think about some changes: No remote control using a tool colled one ally which makes the game more a two player team game. A victory condition which is not an economy target but about controlling the Galaxy like one player has 125 Planets or two together 200 The game ends with 80 turns too early - some races develop their strength late in the Game.
This way the big alliances can not benefit so much and it becomes easier to fight them. Secondly builing via the building quoue should be cheaper that the active players get a benefit that would make it more interesting.
And I am not allied with the BORG! In fact i just destroyed one ship!
Greetings Stefan
I announce this has been my last turn also is this game.
Gorn dead. Romulan not playing. Privateer not playing. Rebel never played, and a great coallition Fed-Tholian-Colonial-Borg againts me and the Empire.
I think it's better Stefan Killrace Romulan, Privateer Empire and me and the great coallition fights between them. It would be more exciting for the game, to see who betrays who first, and who is really the best player.
It would be nice to see how the tholian breaks the alliance and the web mines turns againts the rest.
We could even bet. I bet for the Tholian

Yup, exactly. Everyone who plays few games here see it but we still don't have an open game with serious setup.

I think the winning condition was hardly the problem here.

Define "serious setup" and if that's a matter of game configuration, you might even get it....

Hi Stefan,
can you use the tool Tons and one ally - Heiko was using them on the blutmagie host - tons can generate an annonymous Battlemass ranking. I can also prepare a phost ini as a proposal. I belive that building as many mines and starbases and whichever in turn 80 is not a good option to see who the winner is.
I will come back to ou
I am sorry, but as Privs, Birds and Robots did before, I am leaving this game. I could say the reasons.. but we all talked a lot about the reasons. There will be only one diference. I can't understand why when a player leaves the game, a robot-player doesn't take the control, or a kill-race is not activated. I have a big fleet with a dangerous Death Star and 5 Super Star Destroyers. I could just abandon them and let Colonies get them easily with "his" web mines or be towed with the "Fed's gravitronics".. This would distort even more this fabulous game (if this is possible) so all my ships will set "colonize" mission. I will try to destroy them if I can. Taxes will be set to maximum. Have fun and congratulations all of you! Great job!

It's done. Most part of my fleet, SBs and planets have been selfdestroyed. This was my last turn..
