Hi folks, I think about joining this game, but I won't like to have to do two to three turns per week at Christmastime and would also appreciate to have a break of about two weeks during summer hollidays. So I would like to know, how you think about this.

Christmas is to new year is always a break, usually asked for by several players. Often until 6. january. As someone I know argued, some people can't set their priorities properly.

Summer is more of a problem because everybody usually has different holidays. But usually that also works out fine.

I guess that's quite what applies to the wast majority of turn based online games throughout the western hemisphere.

Hi everyone,

to add a little bit of context: I told kaecki that there are NO automatic holiday breaks, and sent him here to find out what you think. I still don't make an automatic break if nobody wants one. But if someone wants one, posting in the forums allows everyone to share their holiday plans and ultimately agree upon a time.

Just a week?.. And what if some trns will not arrive?..

I mean, It'd be good to set up first schedule "when all trn's are in", and if some trns will not arrive - open that slots and wait for a new ALIVE players...

If needed I can (and will) still stop the host. If the first host run is 42 hours after last subscription it's possible that I even miss that.

But having a concrete timeframe probably adds a little psychological pressure to actually do something

Well then, this might be as much a general holiday thread as anywhere else.

So just in case some one fills in during the next days I'm announcing that I won't be able to do a single turn from 2nd to 13th dec. I'ld be grateful for a delay in that case.

thank you very much everybody

Hi there,

game now starts. Hope everybody will stay alive after this long time.

And we found a commander for the Deathstar  ... Great.

Good luck and much fun in the game.

Greetings from me

CU Holger

P.S.: I will happy to read old (good??) friends here. I will try to answer every mail, if I found enough time to do it. And it´s still the same: My German is much better than my English

This is a testing version.
It may be incomplete, and have more bugs (or features) than the public live version at planetscentral.com.
