Over Xmas I had a little time so I started playing around with Kivy. I miss vpa on my Android tablet so here is what I ended up with so far:

(larger)

I was wondering if one still has to support the restrictions for unregistered players? I only want this to be a client for PHOST.

Anyway so far it is just a pre-pre-pre alpha with nothing much working. (And it might never be finished as I normally don't have too much time to spare.)

I just want to see what the general opinion on the unregistered restriction support is.

I'm tossing around the idea to open an unregistered-only game series on this host. (Because that means you can play without having to get out your floppies, and is fun, too, just in a different way.)

It's up to you whether that's an argument for supporting unregistered players.

I'm not sure what Kivy actually runs on, but if it makes web applications, I can tell you that this server has a working API you can code against :-) PM me for details, I just haven't gotten around to document it completely.

That's the opposite approach. I was wondering if PHOST players still have to pay Tim. 1991 is a long time ago and IMHO PHOST has really evolved away from the original, and to attract new players things should be easy and hunting for a 'floppy' is not really easy.

My support would be all levels for everyone! \o/

It can build applications for Linux, Windows, OS X, Android and iOS, so far I have tested it on Linux and Windows and the exact same code runs fine. Plus its python which makes it easier for me as a non programmer. ;)

This is a testing version.
It may be incomplete, and have more bugs (or features) than the public live version at planetscentral.com.
