I suggest once again, to improve the potential of 8 and 10, give them a gravitonic (br4/corsair) with 2 level 10 engines and without weapons at the start - for a good start.

At least in PList 3.2, Rebel has the Flintstone, which can be trained with reasonable expenses to have gravitonic engines, and the Falcon, which can be trained to be able to cloak.

I can't claim to be a pro player, but found that pretty cool already.
