I used to have and play vgap.. I was wondering where I could get the game again.. I would like to play a local game with my son

The easiest way to play on modern systems is probably PHost with PCC2. You need a ship list, so you can copy from PCC2's "specs" directory (or download from this site). As "master" program, you can take pmaster, a Win32 .exe is linked on the PHost front-page.

This should be a way to get started without emulation, and only using files available on the internet right now.
