These parameters indicate when beams can fire at enemy ships or planets. The distance must be BeamFiringRange or less, and the beam must be charged BeamHitShipCharge.

Note that the charge status directly affects the damage inflicted on the enemy, so beams that fire earlier also do less damage (at least with AllowAlternativeCombat on).
