An 11-player game often takes a long time to fill. Therefore, Dual Duel is a scenario for two players.

Players play two duels, simultaneously: first leg in one galaxy, second leg (return game) with inverted race assignments in another galaxy.

This means, each player submits two turn files each turn! Be sure to play both in the same game directory to avoid trouble with the Tim Continuum.

The first galaxy is created in the eastern half of the VGA Planets map, the second galaxy is created in the western half. Exchange between both galaxies is not supposed to happen (or, take very very very high effort). Therefore, this scenario includes an impassable area (enforced by the Badlands addon) between the galaxies.

Players start with a homeworld with starbase, and a configurable number and type of ships. Both the "you get two freighters" mode (FreeShipsAllTheSame=Yes) and the classic "you get your two first ships" (FreeShipsAllTheSame=No) are supported.

Each of the galaxies is 500 ly wide and 1000 ly tall, and has 100 planets. Homeworlds have a distance of approx. 500 ly. If you are north of Y=2000, your opponent will be south, and vice versa; there's plenty of space in the other direction. Don't leave your cluster to the east or west.

Rules for picking race assignments and victory conditions are up to the host.

Suggestion for race assignments: every player picks two preferences. If both first choices are different, play first choices. Otherwise, if both second choices are different, play second choices. Otherwise, if both players chose identical first and second choice, play first vs second choice.

Suggestion for victory condition: game ends after predetermined number of turns, or if one player has no more units in both of their races.
