These parameters define the number of large meteors that impact on planets each turn.
- When LargeMeteorsImpacting is nonzero, that many planets will be struck by a large meteor each turn. The planets will be chosen at random. Most people will leave this option zero because it tends to overload the universe with minerals when set too high.
- When LargeMeteorsImpacting is zero, there's a chance of RandomMeteorRate that one large meteor will hit a planet this turn. For example, with a RandomMeteorRate of 50 (percent), there will be one meteor every second turn on average.
Large meteors will, in addition to adding minerals to the planet, destroy planetary infrastructure and make the population unhappy. The explosion from a large meteor will be so large that all players notice it (and receive a message).
