As player, you do not directly interact with this add-on.

The badlands are reported as Ufos. Clients such as Winplan, PCC and VPA will display them on the map. Your job is to stay out of them.

Should you enter badlands, on purpose or by accident, unpleasant things will happen to your ship as configured by host.

  • Ship can lose fuel. This means it only has zero-fuel movement to get out (if enabled). If zero-fuel movement is disabled, the ship will be stuck forever.
  • Ship can lose aggression. If it has an aggressive mission (mine laying, mine sweeping, kill, special), primary enemy, or special friendly code, that will be reset.

If a badland is small enough that the ship can move across it in one go, it will be unaffected.
