I don't know how that's meant in the context. If you mean that Kobrov is simply playing well, I agree.

It’s even more annoying if turns are submitted without any commands sent. Who would benefit if Bird is not played? Think about it (anti cloak immunity, cloacked battleship) !
There might be several answers.

I like the idea of brainstorming on the aspect you mentioned.
As I don’t have time today anymore I will paste my 5 cents tomorrow. But it will be interesting to see your answers on my theory.
