You have to create it at either location I stated. That's the whole point. You make it, so an update does not mess with it.

If you have a *.res file, all you have to do is to make a single line containing the full path+filename for it.

Interestingly, this information seems to be missing from the documentation files installed with it. It's only in the source code.

Yeah, but now it's also above. I had to include the CCSHIPS.res as well as the downloaded cc256.res. Pictures are fine now. :)
