For me it's until only 3 races are left. That way the 3 survivors which are actually playing get a place in the podium.

Of course if 3 races are very high in the scores and the others are very low then we might think on ending, but even then, if 2 races that are in the 3 top positions get to fight each other then that could change and a lower score race can get the third place.

Yes. I offer end game.

Hi,

do we really need end conditions? I do not need any. But, I would be in favor of limiting the game to a certain number of turns, maybe 80 or 90.

best regards, halvar

Well, game is already a mess because of so many quiters. There is no fun in killing races which are not moving and I have three as my neighbours. There is nothing to do, I have no border with Gorn or Fed so there is no chance to have a decent war against one of them cause people on this server won't agree to play more than 80 turns. So my point of view is to have a standard turn 80 ending.

Do we have a chance to end the game faster? Maybe 50-60 turns?

I do not mind to finish turn 50. My only purpose in this game was to test how strong glory devices are as a mass weapon and this won't happen cause there is no chance to fight any decent fleet till turn 80. Plus there is no way anyone can catch up with the Gorn in points. It's just another example that playing without any ending/winning condition and ptscore as the only victory determinant has no sense.

We could also speed up the number of turns per week.

For me 2 turns a week is to slow. I'm thinking about boredom. I plan all those moves and then have to wait 2/3 days to see the result. If i had the result the next day it would spike up the interest.

And in future games we could have smaller maps as well. If we have two neighbors give up, we end up with less things to do and more boredom...

Just for the record: you can always make the game run faster by submitting turns earlier.

Some people do their turn at the latest possible time. Just do it at the earliest possible time. Scheduling theory teaches us that both methods get the same amount of stuff done, but doing stuff earlier saves you a panic now and then - and lets hosts run faster :-)
