[Posting] prolonging the game

Hello folks!

I would like to know if there are any of you who would be interested in prolonging the Pleiades 12 game, since there is still a lot going on. My suggestion would be to set an end for turn 100. We could still discuss the endgame later.

Please feel free to comment!

I am against. Because the end condition dictates the overall strategy for the game and you can't change the rules halfway. Why do you need the prolongation? There are 20 turns ahead. You can do whatever you want using all this time.

Probably a misunderstanding - I dont wanna change the end condition or the rules. Just play 20 more turns than usual, cause I think it could be fun and interesting. Thats it. Of course there are still 20 to go yet, but the situation right now still leaves room for quite some action.

We just have a different definition of 'fun'. Playing without a goal is not funny at all for me. It takes a lot of time to do my turns without bringning any satisfaction from reaching goals. Anyway, you can go beyond the 80th turn with other players who want to play further.

I don't think it should continue. This things should be decided in the game setup not in the middle or near the end of it

chrystals asking for a prolongation again. Seems to be a chrystal thing.

Well, what vchc probably meant is that you can plan a game thoroughly. Then you set your goals for early game - t1 to 25 - for midgame - t26 to 55 and endgame - t56 to 80. Just roundabout and examplarily. And in every turnset there is another job to do (crank out ships, ride the queue, shuffle money ... and such) thus you've got to manage the timing when to switch from the old to the new jobs. But if you prolong the game at turn 60 the timeframes change respectively making at least some preparations worthless.

Anyway I don't want to for personal matters. So I don't care about ingame stuff at all...

Hello everyone:

It's my first game in PlanetsCentral, I see that there has been talk of prolonging or not the game, how much do you have to lengthen the games?

For me when you want you can finish, in 3 weeks I start holidays (I would prefer not to have to carry the computer), I hope that with a bit of luck my next game starts in September.

Carlos

Hello Carlos!

Usually, the games do not get prolonged, and end regularly at turn 80+x.

I just started this thread to see if the majority of the players would want to end it normally, or if there was the wish to continue a little more. Since mostly everyone wants to finish, we'll probably get our last turn soon.

So, get your luggage ready for your holiday and enjoy it to the fullest without checking for more turns here.
